We can’t believe that summer is over and we are going to see Bobcats new and old on Thursday for Meet the Teacher. PTO is already hard at work planning for another great year at Bransom. We would not be able to all that we do without the support of our parents and teachers. We hope that you make the decision to join PTO and pick up a Parent shirt (or two) as well.

Can you believe that it is time for school to start? Your 2018-2019 PTO Board has been working hard to make sure that every Bobcat has a wonderful and exciting year! Don’t forget to visit us in the cafeteria during Meet the Teacher on Thursday night to join PTO for the year as well as purchase our cute PTO shirts. We will also have snacks to share with all of our Bobcats and their families.
This year has gone by so fast, less than six weeks and summer will be here and we will close out the 2017-2018 school year! We want to say thank you to everyone for all your support this year, whether it be through volunteering of your time, or through your financial support. THANK YOU! If you are interested in being more involved with the school we would love to have you join our executive board. We are not doing individual prizes for this fundraiser. We will be offering grade level incentives. Any amount of money donated will need to be divided between your children. For example, if you will be donating $100 and you have two children at school, you will need to divide that donation however you see fit between the two children.
Please check with your employer about corporate matching and your family members and friends to help make your donation go further. All donations are tax deductible! They will need to indicate the student name and the amount donated and we will make sure that your child will be given credit.
It is hard to believe that October is almost over! We know how busy everyone’s schedules can be with work, family, sports schedules, etc. We appreciate all of you who have helped in some way these last couple of month through giving of your time and helping with the book fair, popping popcorn for our six weeks celebration (which the students LOVE by the way!), making copies for teachers, nurse screenings, etc. We also thank those of you who aren’t able to volunteer up at the school but have supported your PTO by purchasing a shirt, taking your kiddos out to eat on our spirit nights at Chick-Fil-A or most recently, Spring Creek BBQ. We value all your support, whether it be financial or your time.
The musical playground that was purchased with last year’s funds raised was installed recently. As you know, our goal is to finish out this playground with funds raised this year. We will be rolling out a WRITE A CHECK campaign next week that will allow us to keep 100% of the money raised and put it right back into the school. Please be on the lookout for more information coming home in your child’s backpack November 1st!
We have a busy week ahead… Book Fair and then Grandparent’s Day! We would like to thank all of you who have volunteered to help with these school events. Your children enjoy seeing you help at school and as Mrs. Burchfield said earlier this week, it shows your kids that school is important! We still have several opportunities to help so if you have a couple of hours to give we would love to have you sign up (click on the VOLUNTEER link and it will direct you to our sign up pages). Not only will volunteering help with the event, but it will also give you an opportunity to get to know other families at the Academy of the Arts at Bransom.
If you are unable to help during school hours you can still support PTO by purchasing a membership and maybe a t-shirt and water bottle :) All funds raised this year will go towards our goal of completing the musical playgound and adding a canopy and continuing to support our students and teachers by providing financial support for classroom needs.
Hopefully everyone had a wonderful first week back at school and we are getting settled into our school routines! We would like to thank those of you who have already supported PTO by purchasing a PTO Membership, T-shirt, and water bottle! If you missed us at Meet the Teacher, you are in luck, we still have some available. If you are looking for an easy way to support your child’s school, joining PTO is a great way! Please go to the “Join” section of our website to fill out a registration form! We have a lofty goal this year of finishing out the musical playground and adding a canopy or two, your support is the only way we will be able to achieve this goal!
Another way that you can support PTO and the school is by volunteering! We have the book fair and Grandparent’s day that will require volunteers. Please check out our calendar where we have noted where volunteers are needed. Please consider helping out our WONDERFUL librarian, Mrs. Cech and sign up to help with the book fair. If you have been at the Academy of the Arts at Bransom before this year, you know that Grandparent’s Day is always fun day for the students and their grandparents, but will run more smoothly with help!
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! The Bransom PTO Executive Board is excited to unveil our new website! We hope that this will allow all parents a chance to keep up to date on PTO sponsored events, volunteer opportunities, and offer an easier way to support our wonderful school.
Speaking of support… Last year we were able to purchase a couple of pieces to start our musical playground. This year we would like to finish out the playground by purchasing the last few pieces and offer relief from the Texas sun by putting in a canopy or two! Every dollar that is given this year will go towards reaching our goal and continuing to support our teachers with classroom reimbursements, helping pay for the Accelerated Reader program, keeping our library stocked with wonderful books, paying for buses for field trips, the list could go on!
